Peace Link intends to work with the youth and women, community stakeholders as well as government agencies including international organizations etc working in Liberia to holistically address issues related to conflicts, disputes and promote peace and reconciliation as well improve the livelihood of the society. Peace Link empower community stakeholders to take the lead in identifying and respond to issues related to conflicts and disputes and promote peace building and reconciliation initiatives in the fifteen (15) counties of the Republic of Liberia.
Peace Link mission is building Peaceful and Inclusive Community use technology such as TV, radio, and print applications of media for peacebuilding to accelerate with Internet technology, social networking and mobile telephony.
Peace Link harness the power of media to draw people together, promote conflict management and Resolution, and to create the public way to change attitudes and behavior toward the poor and the marginalize people.
Our three strategy promotes Women and Youth access to mobile phones and internet to increase dramatically countrywide including counties and districts affected by conflict andviolence like Lofa in Liberia. This development provides smooth and effective conflict management and resolution technique with a variety of new tools for monitoring violence, disputes, abuses etc.And sustaining dialogue during our peace building process and as well localizing peacebuilding project for sustainability. With this we have been able to achieve these results as listed below:
· Critically analyzed both the opportunities and the dangers that occur when working with technology in conflict-affected settings.
· Connected relevant conflict analysis, peacekeeping and peacebuilding theories to the technological strategies and tools.
· Managed specific software platforms and utilize various technological tools in our work, both in office and field settings.
· Designed dynamic and effective strategies for using technology platforms and tools to address conflict risk and enhance local peacebuilding capacity
Leadership:
Peace Link Liberia integrates LEADERSHIP training and social investment designed to amplify the leadership capacities for next generation of social leaders (Women and Youth).
We train Women and youth and partner with other women and Youth organizations, Leaders in Lofa County Liberia and work with them to create strong and functional Network. We intend to ensure that Women and Youth in Liberia have practical skills, critical perspectives and a global and national community of partners in order to sustain and expand our change initiatives to enhance sustainable change in our communities of interventions.
Peace Link dream is to work with social leaders all over the world since there is a significant global shortage of capacity building and leadership trainings aimed at nonprofit executives and the next generation of leadership in the sector. At the same time, the lesson learned from our programs and project implementation shown that the capacity and sustainability of this demographic is critical in order to help build Peaceful and Inclusive Community. A community with total peace and security for all its people regardless of social, Political and Economic status.
